On 2 November at 10, at the headquarters of the Puglia Region, the Assessor for Health Rocco Palese has 
received the FEDAIISF delegation, in the guise of the sectional president of AIISF Lecce, Pasquale Malinconico, promoter of the meeting, and the FEDAIISF National Vice President, Antonio Daniele.
Our organization presented itself to the new Assessor in office and Pasquale Malinconico highlighted that with his predecessor Lopalco the category was recognized, in the midst of the pandemic, the right to vaccination, like healthcare workers.
In the wake of continuity, our collaboration was offered to the new Councilor Rocco Palese and the president Pasquale Malinconico recalled that his predecessor had intended to use informants for activities useful to the Regional Health Service, such as the promotion of the appropriate use of medicines and parapharmaceuticals because, even if at the expense of the citizen, health and appropriateness are a prerogative that the health councilor must pursue to protect the patient.
The National Vice President Antonio Daniele underlined that FEDAIISF is the interlocutor who represents the entire category made up of drug and parapharmaceutical informants for a number that, in the Puglia Region, exceeds 10,000 workers. The Scientific Representatives, while representing, as a whole, the largest Apulian company, do not receive the right attention for their work from the regional institutions.
Antonio Daniele underlined how, if the law 833/78 allows the minister to launch national multi-year plans on scientific information, it is certainly desirable that, thanks to the autonomy enjoyed by the Regions in the management of health care, they can be implemented in Puglia, allowing the category to be recognized the right to work without obstacles being placed on their working day.
The first step could be the appointment, as happened in Campania (ed: but also in Emilia and Veneto), of a regional scientific information contact person who collaborates with the councilor in coordinating scientific information activities throughout the Region.
The next, that the Assessor Palese would follow up on the request, presented in the council, to establish a regional register that represents the response of the Puglia Region to the regulation vacancy of the category.
The same, is the embryo of a proposal to be brought to the State-Regions conference for the establishment of the professional register at the national level.
The Assessor was favorably impressed by our association for the effective collaboration with the institutions and undertook to carry on our requests. In taking our leave, the AIISF president, Pasquale Malinconico, made a commitment with the commissioner to speak by telephone, in ten days, to set a date on which to set up a technical table to follow up on our requests.
