Sanofi Aventis launches the Oenobiol line for beauty

(AGI) - Milan, 2 Feb. – Sanofi-Aventis will also market the product line of Oenobiol Laboratories in Italy, following the acquisition of the transalpine brand, the French leader in food supplements for beauty, which took place in 2010. Oenobiol Laboratories achieved a turnover of 57.2 million euros, 85 percent tied to the French market and the remaining 15 to foreign markets, in particular Italy, Spain, Belgium, Poland and Portugal. In Italy Sanofi-aventis recorded total revenues of 1,517.3 million euros in 2009, total sales of 1,213.6 million and a market share of 6.6 percent. "The acquisition of Oenobiol represents for Sanofi-aventis a further example of attention to the needs of patients", explained Arturo Zanni, general manager of Sanofi-aventis Italy, "and complements the already consolidated and wide range of products intended for health. Sanofi-aventis is currently able to offer patients drugs prescribed on prescription by general practitioners and specialists, both in hospitals and outpatient clinics, vaccines, equivalent medicines of the highest quality and a range of self-medication products cation".
