The drug industry as one of the main employment areas for young people. Thus, many students from various secondary schools in Lombardy met in Nerviano, at the Medical Sciences Research Center, the largest oncological research center in Italy, with its 620 researchers and 65 million euros spent last year. An appointment included in the project "Drugs & Life - Meeting with drug research", created by Farmindustria, the association of drug companies, committed to promoting scientific culture in schools. Training based on the main medical-scientific discoveries and on the rules for the correct use of medicines. During yesterday's meeting students were presented with the most promising current pharmacological research, but also illustrated the prospects and job opportunities in drug companies in Italy. In fact, companies in the pharmaceutical sector constitute an important economic sector, capable of offering stimulating job opportunities. Suffice it to say that they hire 90 percent of graduates and high school graduates and generate employment in other sectors for 55,000 workers in addition to their own, which are over 70,000. «It is a project – declared Sergio Dompé, president of Farmindustria -, which is very important for us and which aims to bring the world of school closer to that of work, by putting them in contact; in fact, to encourage excellent research, young people are needed who know the high value of innovation.
